Very well organized. Hotels were very accessible from the train. Enjoyed the special panorama trains with reserved seating. Really no complaints about the trip.

Unescorted trip was great but for a few issues along the way. Hotel Zurigo was terrible and we had no hint that it was a long convoluted hike from the train. There were lots of stairs too while lugging suitcases. HOTEL in Montreaux was worse. We never had any other unescorted groups in our hotel. Seems others we met were very near the train and in nicer accommodations. Hotel in Lucerne was terrible. 8x8 twin beds with broken TV and rude staff. We expected to at least meet with a person in Zurich before starting our tour but we were left to figure it all out. Thank heavens our neice showed us the apps for the trains and trams. She was a godsend. I would not recommend this tour because once you print your tickets you are left to figure the rest out on your own. We have done bus tours in Europe and were met by caring people that told us how things work and what to expect. I asked questions when I booked but that was 6 mos before the trip. The train to boat in Lucerne was a crap shoot. No direction as to where to go or how long the boat takes. We spent alot of time asking questions and asking for help to know whT to do.$6300 is a good chunk of change for a 10 day trip but I guess it's nothing in comparison to the escorted where there are so many extras and wonderful accommodations and dinners.
